(5) The Armed Forces : There are no exceptions for the armed forces, except under the SDA. However, the Government might argue such an exception under ‘national security’, discussed above. Section 85(4) of the original SDA 1975 provided a blanket immunity as regards employment discrimination carried out by the armed services.
