What are the advantages of the Queen's Counsel system for both the consumer and the legal world? The QC system is a badge of seniority and achievement for the Bar. Senior barristers who attain a certain level of experience get this as a hallmark of accomplishment. It marks them out as the top of the professiononly 10 per cent have it-and they can charge significantly higher fees when they attain that rank.
