ABSTRACT
The tribunal has the power to award costs and this power derives from the agreement of the parties and the Arbitration Act 1996, under s 49, which reads:
As previously discussed the award, which should be in writing and signed by the arbitrator, is of much legal significance as it may be enforced through the courts.
