The Southern Securities Finance Company have purchased 600 acres of building land ripe for development in the North East. They propose to build houses in the lower bracket on it (£27,000-£41,000). A subsidiary has been set up and you have been appointed Managing Director. Your appointment commenced last Monday and the company expect a start to be made in seven weeks’ time. You will be starting from scratch and you have been give a free hand provided you show results. Planning approval has been obtained for 500 units and outline planning approval for 5,500 units. Units must not exceed two storeys unless a resubmission for approval is made.
