ABSTRACT
Preparation Patients should understand why a stent is being suggested rather than ‘conventional’ surgery. They should know that the chances of success are not quite as high (approx. 75-80% satisfactory outcome vs approx. 90% for TURP). On the other hand, the technique is very safe and highly unlikely to aggravate any other disease state. We provide these men with a comprehensive instruction leaflet.*
