ABSTRACT

Therapeutic child-focused mediation is an intervention that can be used to assist parents in conflict to plan for the future for the children involved. I use this method with divorcing parents, never-married parents, grandparents, and children, and any other family dispute where children are affected. While mediation can be used in many situations, this chapter will focus on developing a practice or partial practice devoted to the facilitation of functional coparental relationships during and after divorce.
