Sharing Power in the Classroom

I believe that sharing power in the classroom which, in turn, will help students to become more powerful and independent learners, rests on teachers challenging aspects of classroom practice that maintain the authority and power vested in them by the system. Naturally, this can be a stressful process for students and teacher but power sharing can be achieved over time.
