Chinese, Phoenicians, and the Orthographic Cipher of English

The correspondences clearly involve strings of letters mapped onto strings of phonemes. Perhaps the only letter that always and everywhere maps onto a single phoneme is the letter v. The correspondences of all other letters depend on their context.
