ABSTRACT

This chapter attempts to provide a European perspective on sexually abusive behaviour perpetrated by juveniles. It has three main sections: a description of the main cultural and contextual differences in European countries with regard to juveniles who sexually abuse; a description of approaches taken by services in various European countries; and a brief review of European research concerning adolescent abusers with particular emphasis given to studies published in languages other than English which consequently do not usually find their way into the mainstream research literature.
