ABSTRACT
Lesbian and gay male investigators who do qualitative research with other lesbians and gay men have an inside perspective, which can benefit but also bias their research. In this article, I will discuss the advantages and possible problems that can emerge when lesbians and gay men do interview research with other lesbians and gay men. I will also offer several suggestions for minimizing the weaknesses and maximizing the strengths inherent in this type of research.
