ABSTRACT

In this chapter, pronunciation and character notes will be discussed under the same heading. The most noticeable sound change in Italian accent is that heard in fence-a, talk-a-the addition of an unstressed neutral vowel to many monosyllabic verbs and nouns. Bruno Walter's residual German accent is a clear example of how the stress pattern clings, even when nearly all sound changes have been eliminated. Study the people proposed German-accent role in relation to the types apparent on the CD. Throughout the examples, by no means every r is rolled like this, and yet, in all three, the Russian accent is effective. As to characterizations, the Russian taxi driver's stories are good to play and say, both for learning the fundamental accentand for the portrayal of an elderly character. There is a blend of vowel and consonant changes heard in various European countries.
