ABSTRACT

At 50, after working for 30 years in children's homes, I started a social work training course and found myself in a place of fear and depression, questioning my abilities. My self-esteem plummeted and my Christian faith, somehow, became less ful®lling and available to me. Psychotherapy started me on an unexpected journey to self-discovery and ultimately forgiveness. In this chapter I will offer my journey in order to encourage others to ®nd what is hidden within their lives and to give therapists an understanding of the complexity of any process towards forgiveness.
