ABSTRACT
Recently, there has been a major shift in how the children in households where there is partner violence are viewed. This has moved from seeing the impact on children as only relevant when they were, literally, caught in the cross-fire and injured, through concerns about the effect of children witnessing violence, to a recognition of the adverse effects on children of simply being part of such households.
