ABSTRACT

I. INTRODUCTION The main characteristics of amphiphilic molecules such as surface activity and association behavior originate in their unique chemical structure, which consists of hydrophilic and lipophilic moieties. Traditional low-molecularweight surfactants are typical amphiphilic molecules and have a hydrophilic head and a hydrophobic alkyl chain tail. Such a structural character is dominant to associate into micelles, vesicles, microemulsions, liquid crystals, and other self-assemblies. These aggregates are utilized for huge industrial, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical purposes.
