ABSTRACT
The total length of a detention and training order can be four, six, eight, 10, 12, 18 or 24 months (s 101(1)). However, the term of a detention and training order cannot exceed the maximum term of imprisonment that the Crown Court could impose on an adult offender for that offence (s 101(2)).
