ABSTRACT
Hydrostatic testing is the last test performed in the manufacture of a pressure vessel prior to its delivery to the client. This is to prove the integrity of the vessel under stringent conditions that simulate the design conditions. This being the last test, rework of any type is not permitted on the vessel afterward. Upon completion, the vessel is released only for subsequent work like cleaning, painting, etc., as desired in the purchase order.
