ABSTRACT
Tumours of the middle ear and mastoid are rare. Only two require mention here: the glomus tumour, a benign, very vascular tumour of chemoreceptor cells; and squamous carcinoma of the middle ear, a malignant tumour arising infrequently in a chronically discharging ear.
