ABSTRACT
For descriptive purposes only, the neck may be described as divided into triangles. The anterior triangle is bounded by the mandible above, the midline medially, and the sternomastoid muscle laterally. The posterior triangle is bounded by the sternomastoid muscle anteriorly, the trapezius muscle posteriorly, and the middle third of the clavicle below (Figure 88).
