ABSTRACT

There was no evident relation between difficulty o f the task and laterality. For instance, Vi sua l Recognition memory, which correlated significantly wi th CMPT-la tera l i ty index, was a much easier task than Figure Recal l , which did not. This suggests that effects o f laterality on cognitive performances may be quite specific and may be overlooked when only global measures o f cognitive capacity (i.e., tests o f psychometric intelligence) are used.
