ABSTRACT
Psychologists who testify in court should strive to provide accurate, objective, and educative testimony. The goal of the expert witness is to provide this testimony in a way that will be useful to the decision maker, whether the decision maker is a judge or a jury. The goal of this chapter is to use findings from empirical expert-witness research to identify evidence-based recommendations for providing effective testimony.
