ABSTRACT
When asked, “What is mathematics?” most people answer with terms such as numbers, rules, fractions, decimals, area and volume, measuring objects, or difficult, or “I don’t like math.” There is, however, more to mathematics than just rules and operations; it provides the necessary tool to model and understand our world.
