ABSTRACT
Jeff, a low, intermediate ESL (English as a second language) student, had been sitting in front of his computer for 3 hours, frustrated by the overwhelming amount of information. As a new user of an asynchronous discussion board for English practice, he just could not find a way to read all the postings from the other participants and to take part in their ongoing conversations.
