ABSTRACT
Before one embarks upon building a bridge (whether between the banks of a river or between disciplines), there are a number of questions that should be considered. One is how such a bridge might best be constructed. Another is precisely where such bridges ought to be built. In this essay, I consider each these two questions with regard to building bridges between my own scientific discipline, social psychology, and other fields (whether scientific, policymaking, service providing, or whatever).
