ABSTRACT
Then in 1977, as though long pent-up, three volumes appeared: Svecha (The Candle), Metel' (The Snowstorm), and Sny o Gruzii (Dreams of Georgia), the last including translations and prose writings. Since then, three more volumes have appeared, Taina (1983; The Secret), Sad (1987; The Garden), and Bella Akhmadúlina (1988) that includes poems from many earlier collections.
