ABSTRACT
After a visit to an American Indian reservation, these two prospective mathematics teachers had developed a greater understanding of and respect for a Native-American culture. The trip to the reservation was completed during a mathematics methods course. As one of several select activities, this trip is an integral part of my strategy to support prospective teachers to become advocates for all of their students.
