ABSTRACT

The nature of the college campus has changed significantly in the past 25 years. Campuses that saw predominately White middle-class men are now populated by both men and women of all classes, with a least 25% non-White students attending college. In addition, college campuses not only welcome, but also actively recruit, international students from all over the world, and have become increasingly global in orientation and outlook. The United States hosts the largest number of international students of any country in the world, with over 40% of the international students coming from Asia (Zikopoulous, 1990).
