ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to show the connections between our bodies and robots, and more generally to illustrate these relationships both in the sphere of information engineering-in the light of robotics and artificial intelligence-and in the sphere of philosophy-in the light of anthropology. I place special emphasis on the notion of robot architecture, with detailed reference to its use to serve both the disabled and by extension the able-bodied.
