ABSTRACT

Successful performance often involves interaction among several individuals who must work as a team. A critical feature of teams is that individuals must coordinate their decisions and activities by sharing information and resources to attain shared goals. Clearly, efforts to improve team performance must focus attention on the performance of individuals. However, individuals are dependent on other team members to provide information and for coordination of activities. Those behaviors of members that engender a sharing of information and a coordination of activities are collectively called teamwork.
