ABSTRACT
Maternal BehaviorsA recent study by Ellis and Col -Harding (2001) examined the independent and combined effects of maternal stress, alcohol consumption, and cigarette smoking on the sexual orientation of offspring. For the sake of simplicity, each will be examined separately, and finally their combined effects discussed. Last, the effects of gonadal steroids and drugs that interact with their receptor systems will be discussed.
