ABSTRACT

All teachers in their professional work mentor on numerous levels and in a variety of ways. But what is that special mentoring approach that makes a teacher a mentorteacher, one who generates opportunities and communities for students and self to creatively nurture and synergistically comentor each other to new and unusual horizons and pinnacles? In this chapter, I discuss and illustrate the various aspects of a mentoring teacher, especially the powerful role of the mentor-teacher.
