ABSTRACT
To connect to the Internet you will need a means of connecting to a service provider. Modems convert digital computer data into a series of tones which are sent down the ordinary telephone line whilst another modem, attached to the computer that you wish to connect with anywhere in the world, converts the tones back into computer data at the remote end.
