ABSTRACT
Information technology (IT) has a place throughout the primary school as a cross-curricular tool for both children and teachers, and as such you will find that it appears in many different places in the National Curriculum document (DFE, 1995). The first task in this chapter is to consider how IT is represented in the formal National Curriculum and to consider the philosophy behind its inclusion.
