ABSTRACT
Teachers in the last few years have suffered from a barrage of information and requirements for assessment. Many feel that assessment has taken them away from their main purpose, namely teaching in the classroom. This chapter sets out to look at what is practical, manageable and useful in children being involved in the assessment process that will enhance their learning and the quality of teaching offered.
