ABSTRACT

Many of the chapters in this book describe educational development projects undertaken in UK higher education. Others look more widely, to project work undertaken in Australia and in Singapore. This chapter looks more widely still, at a number of projects undertaken in various countries (including the UK). The projects discussed in this chapter have all been described in the pages of the International Journal for Academic Development (IJAD). IJAD is the journal of the International Consortium for Educational Development (ICED). ICED was established in 1995 to link together national educational networks and to encourage and support the growth of new networks. More details about IJAD and about ICED and its member national networks can be found on their respective Web sites (see https://www.queensu.ca/idc/ijad/" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">https://www.queensu.ca/idc/ijad/ and https://www.edu.yorku.ca/progers/iced/" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">https://www.edu.yorku.ca/progers/iced/).
