ABSTRACT
That scene is not unusual and is not confined to mature students. The comments are from a piece of social action research carried out over a period of three years, which is still in progress. Student Voice is a publication that presents views that students express in focus group discussions. The first two editions were produced in London as part of the Collaborative Widening Participation Project in North and North-East London. The third edition of Student Voice (Access) along with continuing research is part of another HEFCE-funded project in the West Midlands.
