ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the development and implementation of a Masters programme in continuing professional development for health professionals, delivered through asynchronous computer conferencing. The use of computer mediated communication (CMC) as a tool for collaboration, reflection, critical thinking and research will be discussed. Current issues around continuing professional development (CPD) in the health professions will be considered, particularly in relation to the worldwide cohorts of students who access the programme.
