ABSTRACT

The introduction of Curriculum 2000 has led to the production of coursework in most subjects. In 1987 school teachers had a similar experience with the move from O levels to GCSE, so faced many of the issues of managing coursework at that time. Students, although experienced with GCSE coursework, still experience problems with structuring, planning and meeting deadlines for completing their coursework. Through careful planning and monitoring the tutor can alleviate many of the problems associated with its production and assessment.
