An Outreach Project Aimed at Latin-American Women Working as (often Illegal) Child-Minders

People living illegally in Switzerland seldom contact health and/or social services since they are afraid to become known to local authorities. Many women without legal status mind children, and a strategy was developed to reach these people where they are. Most of the women are very young, and come from countries where AIDS information and prevention might not be optimal (Ospina and Burgi, 1995).
