ABSTRACT
This paper responds to one of the main objectives of the symposium, that is to bridge the gap between the various performing arts as well as between several genres, by concentrating on the sociocultural context of those of precolonial Baliritual which combined the performance of various gambelan genres, diverse dances and/or drama, as well as the singing of kidung poetry.1
