ABSTRACT
Perhaps, van HoofT7ti speculates, the development of co-ordinated male between-group aggression has paved the way for the development of such coordinated hunting, not only in chimpanzees hut also in the hominid/human evolutionary tn~jectory. Eibl-Eibesfeldt proposed in 197577 that motivationally, hunting behaviour in chimpanzees has probably been derived from intra-specific aggression.
