ABSTRACT
Though Cyprus is often mentioned as the main source of tension between Turkey and Greece, and the total normalization of the relations is unlikely without achieving a durable peace in the island, it has not been the Cyprus problem but the Aegean Sea disputes that seem to be intractable between the two countries; especially if we take into account the fact that the parties have neither achieved a common definition of the problem areas nor agreed upon the ways to resolve them.
