ABSTRACT

 1. Then at that time, the Bhagavat Vairocana gazed upon all beings in the future and then entered a samādhi called ‘Entry into All’ A As soon as the Bhagavat entered that samādhi, this Buddha field B was spread out flat like the palm of his hand: It was adorned with portals and arches built from the five kinds of precious gems, covered with hanging multi-coloured pennants, covered with jewelled awnings, with many jewel-bells, white whisks, silk ribbons and netting suspended [from it], and with jewelled pillars which were set up in the eight directions. Its eight directions were also adorned with lotus pools filled up with fragrant water having the eight qualities; [there were also] the cries of geese, ducks and swans and ever-blooming flowers and various trees. It was encircled with garlands and strings of the five precious gems and the ground was pleasant and soft to the touch, like velvet. There resounded various kinds of pleasant sounds of drums and musical instruments. It had mentally formed thrones, buildings and palaces [which were] built up by the merits of the many Bodhisattvas.
