ABSTRACT
Once, so it’s been told, there was a king and a queen who had sevendaughters. The youngest was called Misfortune. One day, war wasdeclared against the king. After he was defeated, they took away his throne and threw him into prison. Now that the king was a prisoner, the queen was forced to leave the palace and to live in a modest house. The family’s fortunes were ruined and became so bad that they barely had anything to eat.
