ABSTRACT

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) celebrated its 23rd anniversary in 2012. The ambition of this chapter is not to make a comprehensive assessment of the effects of the CRC across countries. Our focus is limited to one particular developing country as a case: Kenya. We take stock of how the CRC precepts have been applied in the policies and practices in that country by two particular members of the donor community: Norway and Sweden. 1
