INTRODUCTION Audio signal analysis has been one of the fundamental chapters in the NAB Engineering Handbook because audio is an essential part of all broadcasting. With the widespread use of digital audio systems, this chapter has nearly doubled in size. Analog measurement definitions and techniques are maintained, and a new section devoted to digital audio test and measurements has been added.
