ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION The craft of making film and television programming has evolved dramatically over the past century, both aesthetically and technically. During this time, the working practices and tools used to create programs have evolved in parallel, constantly expanding the boundaries of creative possibilities. Film and television postproduction has become a diverse discipline, blending the crafts of storytelling, visual artistry, and sonic virtuosity with the hard science of motion imagery and sound.
