ABSTRACT
The broadcast antenna is the single most important part of the entire broadcast transmission chain in that it is the device that actually delivers the signal to the audience. If the antenna is not well designed, built, and installed, a station may not obtain the calculated coverage, or if directional, the antenna can cause interference with neighboring stations. The antenna requirements for digital television (DTV) broadcasting are essentially the same as for National Television System Committee (NTSC) television broadcasting.
