ABSTRACT
EU regional policy is intended to promote greater political, economic and social cohesion in Europe. However, there have been contradictory claims about its impacts and the extent to which it has led to convergence between regions. This second part of the book presents a series of contributions to the debate based on research in the United Kingdom. It examines the impact and influence of the Structural Funds at different spatial scales and through various elements of EU regional policy.
