ABSTRACT
Radio waves are usually referred to as RF, standing for radio frequency. In the early days of radio, the term ether was invented to describe the undetectable medium that carries electromagnetic waves. However, experiments have shown that the ether does not actually exist and no medium is required to carry the waves, which are a form of energy, but you still sometimes hear people refer to radio “traveling through the ether.”
