ABSTRACT

For over a quarter of a century, from 1982 to 2009, John E. Hart (from California) served as chairman of the Movie Division of the SCSC. In that capacity, he held quarterly meetings of the 3D Movie Division, acted in 3D movies, shot numerous short stereo films, participated in the 20-year retrospective 3D DVD produced by SCSC in 2003, and chaired six editions of the world’s only international 3D Movie and Video Competition. In 2008, inspired to action by the formation by John R. Christopher of the 3D Video Task Force, a splinter group of the SCSC Movie Division, Hart was spurred to write, direct, and produce a five-minute dual-HD 3D movie that he titled Ghost Car.
